Gibeon

A fine iron-nickel meteorite whose etched Widmanstätten structure is especially suitable for full-slice dials. The strewn field spans a large part of southern Namibia.

    Czapek: "Dial made of Gibeon iron meteorite, renowned for its striking Widmanstätten patterns with a light blue polished laquer." The discs are cut by GT Cadrans near Lausanne from a mass of octahedrite iron-nickel that fell over what is now Namibia. Limited to 38 pieces at 40.5 mm.
